How has this come about so quickly?!

It was around about a year ago today I wondered into STA travel in Preston saying 'so I think I want to travel the world...', they asked me where I wanted to go and I asked where CAN I go?!

Of course, the answer was EVERYWHERE but as I'm travelling solo for the first time for an extended period I settled on some of the more conventional backpacker trails:

India, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, West Coast USA and South America

Oooorr that's the intention. I have flights booked as far as USA but if the money runs out (likely), or if I fall too homesick to continue (definite maybe), or if I get stuck somewhere I love and want to stay for longer (high possibility) - I'll change course!

I'm excited, apprehensive, sad, happy, nervous, overwhelmed and stressed as my ma is demanding every 3 minutes that I tidy my room and have a 'big clear out' - such a draaaag.

I told my year 11 class recently that my mum still tells me, when I'm back in the family house, I have to tidy my room and I'm 25 years old, they thought it was hilarious, it IS hilarious. I tell my mum this and she says 'well bloody well keep it tidy then'.

Right, I'll get to it then. But first I'll make a Beyoncé playlist to listen to whilst clearing out. Good plan.
